Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach. For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

From Brother Jim Gregory’s testimony during a Saturday night prayer meeting
“If Jesus is not your hero, you’re missing the point.” What point? The point of your own life, the point of having parents who took care of you when you were a helpless infant, the point of having your health, the point of having a job, having a car, having food to eat, having clothes to wear and a place to lay your head at night. You’re missing the point of having people around you who care whether you live or die, the point of meeting a stranger one time who gave you directions when you needed help, the point of making your last trip safely. All these blessings came from Jesus. And if you failed to understand that Jesus is the reason you have had such blessings, you’re missing the point.
No matter what the blessing, the source is always the same. And if Jesus is not your hero, you are missing the point.
