Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach. For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Hi John,
I have been having some wonderful thoughts and I just wanted to share some of them with you. This morning I was thinking about prayer and how that there are people everywhere praying to something or somebody, and millions praying to what they think is God, and it was overwhelming to think about how many words are being spoken by people that just go out into the air and do not mean a thing! Wow.
And as I was thinking these things, a spirit of prayer came over me, asking God to make my prayer acceptable to him, a sweet savor to him, not just words being spoken out of habit or my own desires, but acceptable to him, something that will touch him. And I prayed that he would put a prayer in my heart that he wanted me to pray.
I hope he puts a prayer in my heart like the woman that had the issue of blood for twelve years. She touched the hem of his garment and was made whole. Now, I hope I don’t have to wait twelve years! :) I just want my prayers to mean something to God, not just words spoken out into the air. I know that we need to live up to what God is showing us right now and live clean and pure, and I want to make sure I am doing my part to make my prayers acceptable to him.
