Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

“IN AN INSTANT”

“Pay attention now. I tell you a secret. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in an instant, at the twinkling of an eye.”
1Corinthians 15:51

The time indicated by the phrase “in an instant” and “the twinkling of an eye” is a measurement of time that is infinitesimally small. The “twinkling of an eye” is not a blink; it is faster than that. The precise definition of the Greek word that I have translated as “in an instant” is indivisible. In other words, “in an instant” is such a tiny unit of time that it cannot be sub-divided. It is as short a moment of time as God created.

Because God does everything He does with a whole heart, and because of His mighty power, when He determines to do anything, it doesn’t take long. I think this shows us that if we be like our heavenly Father and set our minds to the task of living a godly life, if we live before Him with our whole heart, we can quickly overcome the world. Not only is there no power that can stop us; there is no power than can even so much as delay our victory over the world and everything in it.
