Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

1CORINTHIANS 13, PART ELEVEN:

“Charity rejoices in the truth”
1Corinthians 13:6b

Jesus told some of the elders in Jerusalem that he would not judge them. He said (Jn. 12:48-49), “He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has his judgment; the very word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken from myself, but Father Himself, the one who sent me, gave me a commandment as to what I should say and what I should speak.”

Men cannot judge God’s truth; God’s truth judges them. When the truth is revealed, a person’s reaction to it is evidence of his spiritual condition in God’s eyes. If he rejoices in the truth, then God has approved of him; the love of God is living in his heart. If he does not rejoice in the truth, then God has rejected him; his soul is not clean and he has been judged by the truth he has heard. Only those who have secret sin cannot understand the truth or love it. Every one whose heart is pure understands it and rejoices when he hears it.
