1CORINTHIANS 13, PART NINE:

“Charity thinketh no evil”
1Corinthians 13:5d

The love of God gives people every chance to be good. It actually puts pressure on people to be good by assuming the best about them.

There is an old saying that goes, “love is blind”. That may be true of carnal, human love, but not of the love of God. God’s love is not blind to anything. It is so strong and true that it can see us the way we really are and still love us. Human love, to stay true, must often pretend that it does not see what it sees. God’s love pretends nothing and sees everything. It is real, and it is unchanging. Its first thought about anyone is something good, not evil, and it always prefers that the best of anyone is what is really true about him.
