Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach. For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Hey there!
I heard something on that tape you gave me last night on Kathryn Kuhlman. She was in Las Vegas for a Healing meeting in the 1970’s. She was talking about people wondering what is going to happen concerning war, and things changing, and what are we going to do, and so forth. She said, “Your Bible is as up-to-date as your daily newspaper.” I liked that!

Hi Amy:
With all due respect to Ms. Kuhlman (and there certainly is some due), world events happen so suddenly sometimes that they make daily newspapers out-of-date before they even finish rolling off their presses. The Bible is far better than that. It tells us about events before they happen! That’s why we need the holy Ghost that the Bible talks about. The holy Ghost does not merely bring us up-to-the-minute news; it brings us news that is so fresh that the events haven’t even happened yet! The Spirit tells us of what God has cooking in the oven long before He sets it on man’s table.

PS Actually, I really liked what Ms. Kuhlman said, too. Thanks for the thought.
