As I was thinking about what you told us about Gary’s prayer for God’s children to know the truth in a big way, and the Lord’s less than positive response, I remembered an incident written in the scriptures. (Gary’s labor earned him this privilege.) It is the time when Jesus was thankful to God because God didn’t reveal himself to others. To have real peace, I believe we must get to this same point. The only way Jesus could have had that attitude was by being humble and knowing his Father was right. That is real Faith.
I also remember Uncle Joe saying that you cannot talk someone into the way of truth. I think his attitude was that if you could convince someone of any other doctrine or way, that person would not be able to stand in the truth.
Boy, what confidence Uncle Joe had in GOD!
