Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

"THE DUMBER THEY ARE"

From a prayer meeting on June 03, 1979.

During a sermon, Pastor George C. Clark states concerning God's children, "The older they are, the dumber they are." And then he adds, "You tell me the condition of one of God's children, and I'll tell you how long they have been in the Way." Even though he did not know that Christianity was itself the evil empire, this is a clear reference to the malevolent effect that Christianity has on the spirits of God's children. The longer God's children remain in that religion, the duller they become to the things of God. We who have been given the grace to have been in the truth a while can see this easily. We have had experiences both with God's children who have newly been born again and with His Children who have "been in the Way" for a long time. Those precious children of God who have just begun their walk in the Spirit are consistently humbler and much more willing to listen to God's voice than those precious other children of His who have been entangled in Christianity for many years. It is undeniable that the lovely, wealthy, whorish Woman of Revelation 17 is the religion of Christianity and that it makes men foolish. She persuades men to receive her wrong ideas about God and causes them to think they know much when they know nothing. She hardens their hearts toward the true God with the perfume of her flattery and with her vain promises of eternal blessing. Solomon said that the true measure of wisdom is not how much a man knows but how willing he is to listen and to learn from God.

This is what my father meant by saying that the longer God's children have been in Christ, the dumber they are. God's babies are wiser, according to Solomon's measure, than are those who have had the holy Ghost for many years because those older saints have remained in Christianity longer, and its evil, heart-hardening influence is greater upon their hearts. May God give us the grace to do our part to help them find their way out.
