Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Prayer Meeting Notes from Rebekah, Part Seventeen:
Knowing What Time It Is

“About four years ago, I put a piece of notebook paper in my Bible on which to write down things said during the meetings that really stood out to me.”
Rebekah Joy

“A wise man is someone who knows what time it is.”

“To know what it is time for is wisdom.”

When she was very young, I told Token, my older daughter, that a wise man is one who knows what time it is. When, in response, she looked around me at the clock on the wall, I knew that she was misunderstanding my point. I had to make things clearer for her.

Solomon taught us that God has made everything beautiful in its time. When it is time for love, love is beautiful, but when it is time for war, love is despicable. When it is time to give, giving is beautiful, but when it is time to take, giving is sin.

There is a time for all things, according to Solomon, and a wise man is one who knows what it is time for.
