Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

A Checklist For Staying Free

A letter from Token Embry.

Hi:

Our impromptu Sunday meeting was so good to me! I loved how you were able to show us how sin works and how the flesh works to try to disguise itself. I was praying, "God what can I do to avoid being like this?" Then different ones gave testimonies about how to avoid it! So I wrote down what they were saying and made a list for myself of the very good things that they said. I thought it was so helpful I wanted to share it. Here is a very good checklist:

  • Respect your Pastor and others.
  • Love others with the love of God.
  • Stay tied-in to the family of God around you/stay around/walk in the light so that you can maintain the fellowship of peace.
  • Have purity of heart.
  • Admit your love of God, truth, your brothers and sisters, etc.
  • Keep a correctable spirit.
  • Be honest with what you are feeling (and from my experience, you will then be able to listen to others feelings).
  • Stop having to be right/Be willing to be wrong.
  • Be happy with being happy.

What a wonderful meeting and what a treasure chest of good things in God. We are very, very blessed!

I know how it feels to love everybody so much. Each one has been a teacher to me in some area, no matter how small.

te.
