Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Abominations, Part Two

A letter from Brother Gary Savelli

Things That Are Abominations To God

Concerning Christianity:

Jer. 2:7 - the heritage that God made for Israel which they defiled.

Rev. 17:5 - the name that is on the woman: "Mystery, Babylon the great. Mother of Harlots and abominations of the earth."

Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11

- reference to "the abomination that makes desolate" which shall be set up in the "holy place" (also Mark 13:14, Mat. 24:15). This refers to the spirit of antichrist, which, through Christianity, finds a home in the holy place of the hearts of God's children.

Luke 16:15 - something "which is highly esteemed among men."

Concerning Moral Conduct:

Job 15:16 - The man that drinks iniquity as water.

Prov. 8:7 - wickedness.

Prov. 15:9 - the way of the wicked.

Prov. 15:26 - the thoughts of the wicked.

Lev. 18:22 - homosexuality.

Lev. 18:30 - the [immoral] customs of the heathen whom God was casting out of Canaan.

Deut. 22:5 - a transvestite (dresses in clothing of the opposite sex).

Deut. 24:4 - divorcing and then remarrying a spouse, after she has remarried and

divorced her second spouse.

Deut 25:15-16 - having unjust weights and measures.

Prov. 6:16-19 - a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart

that devises wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running to

mischief, a false witness that speaks lies, and the one that sows

discord among brethren.

Prov. 16:5 - everyone that is proud in heart.

Prov. 11:20 - those that have a froward heart.

Ezekiel 16:50 - the haughty attitude of Sodom.

Ezekiel 22:11 - taking one's neighbor's wife.

1 Pet. 4:3 - the reveling and lusts of the Gentiles.

Concerning Injustice:

Prov. 11:1 - a false balance (= being unjust or dishonest).

Prov. 20:10, 23 - divers weights and divers measures (= being unjust or dishonest).

Prov. 12:22 - lying lips.

Prov.16:12 - kings that commit wickedness.

Prov.17:15 - he that justifies the wicked and condemns the just.

Concerning Unequally Yoked Marriages:

Jer. 7:9-10 - breaking the commandments (such as murder, stealing, adultery, false swearing, incense to idols, serving other gods).

Malachi 2:11 - profaning the holiness of the Lord, and "marrying a strange god".

Concerning The Results of Being Abominable

Rev. 21:8 - people who are abominable to God are the ones who will be sent into the

Lake of Fire.

Rev. 21:27 - whoever works abominations will "in no wise" enter into the blessed city

where the Lamb is the light.
