Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

TAKING AND GIVING CREDIT

From an email from Sister Sandy

Bro. John:

What a wonderful lesson Jesus taught me last night!

If you remember, on Sunday night I let you read the little inside story that I was going to include with my CD, sharing the story of how God gave me the “Song of Moses”. Yesterday, I was finalizing getting the CD cover ready for when Rob completed the songs, and I decided that I wanted to add a little “thank you” on the inside cover for all the parts added by each one - you, Rob, Donna. I was going to “give credit”, you might say, to the ones who helped on the songs. Well, let me tell you what a wonderful thing Jesus taught me!

This is it:

I CAN NEITHER TAKE CREDIT NOR GIVE CREDIT!
HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT GETS THE CREDIT!!

I can’t even take credit for myself!! Oh, my, isn’t this wonderful!

He showed me that there is no credit to be given; we are only doing what we are supposed to do, what we were created for -- PRAISE HIM! And He gets ALL the credit for that! That’s what Psalms 102:18 says: “. . . and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.”

I love the feeling it left with me - - decrease, decrease, decrease. As John the Baptist said, “He must increase, and I must decrease.” Whatever I have or whatever I am - I OWE IT ALL TO JESUS!!! We cannot take or give credit!! Oh, I just love this and Him!Talk about lifting a burden and removing the yoke! “If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity.”

Wonderful lesson, Bro. John. Wonderful. When the heart knows that no one but Jesus gets the credit, there is no room for vanity. Whew! What in the world are we headed for? I surely do not know - but Jesus gets the credit!!

This world and its “niceties” and appearance of goodness trying to take credit when there is none to take or give!

Well, Praise Jesus!!
