From conversations with Preacher Clark in the 1970s

My father told us many times that Jesus never sent his disciples to do anything that they could do. If man can do it, then man didn’t need Jesus to send him to do it. The disciples could not heal the sick, and Jesus sent them to do that. They could not raise the dead, and Jesus sent them to do that. They could not preach the gospel, and he sent them to do that. Without being anointed and then sent by God, no one can do anything that has to do with His kingdom.

Recently, I heard a minister on television teaching his congregation the same truth that my father taught us. His exact words were, “Whatever God requires, requires God.” There has never been a truer statement made by man.
